500 Years of Female Portraits in Western Art

Do artistic geniuses really think alike? If you are a believer of that statement, then this video is proof. It surveys over 500 years of female portraits, from da Vinci to Picasso, according to their similarity to the portrait that came before it. This beautiful art video is set to Bach’s lovely Sarabande from Suite for a Solo Cello in G, to enhance your enjoyment of the video.
As the faces fade into each other, try and guess which paintings they are, and if you need some help, we have provided you with an informative table below that will tell you exactly which portrait was displayed when. This video is truly a testament to that it is a small artistic world after all.
